McMillan Weekend

Mickey Mouse partay

We had a blast doing Cohen's birthday party this last weekend. My mom, Jenny, and Mazor came down Wednesday night. Karli, Matt, and the twinners came Thursday. Cj and Jen came down Friday with their whole clan. It was SO much fun to have them here. There was never a dull moment with eight adults and nine kids you can never expect it to be. But it was never too chaotic. We had fun playing games, eating, playing at the park, swimming, and watching movies.
The rest of the Hukill clan came Saturday for the actual party and it was a house full of Cohen's favorite people.

For a minute we didn't think Karli was going to be able to come down so Mike was insisting on making the cake. I luckily didn't have to take him up on his offer. He did help Karli make the cake though. These are the feet that he did, he says he is a pro after watching so many episodes of ace of cakes.

Jenny made these adorable thank you bags.  She definitely got the creative genes in our family.

The couple of kids that were there did get to play pin the ear on mickey, which I forgot to get a prize for. . . awesome host, I know.

Mema and Pepa got Coh this dancing Mickey Mouse. It was a pretty big hit to everyone, except the birthday boy.  He is slowly warming up to it and actually smiles when we turn it on now.

Cohen was more than a little nervous with so many people around. He lightened up once he saw his own cake. It was so cute, at first he took dainty little bites picking off the candies on top. By the end he was shoving his whole head in the cake. He pretty much ate the whole thing.

When cake time was over Mema gave Cohen a much needed bath and we threw the crumbs of the cake out the back door knowing the dogs would love it. Everyone had mostly left and we were just starting to clean up when we noticed Cohen was missing. We checked out the back door and this is what we found, Cohen had found the cake for the dogs and was going back for seconds. He was so proud of himself for finding it. It was too cute we couldn't tell him no.

His expression in this picture is priceless. We love him so much. This has been the craziest year of our lives but it has also been the fastest, most fun, meaningful year also. I wouldn't change it for anything, even though he is the devil himself somedays!

He's Almost Running...

I think he would learn to walk faster if he didn't feel like he needed to run everywhere he went...  here's the first decent shot we got of him walking.
